加拿大擴大鄉村和北部社區的移民福利

2022年8月26日，加拿大移民、難民及公民部（IRCC）宣佈擴大鄉村和北部移民計劃（RNIP）的範圍，希望可增加當前參加該計劃的11個社區的移民福利。

在 2022 年秋天，加拿大將實施各種新的加強措施，以提供更多的支持給社區合作夥伴、僱主、以及申請人。以下是此次宣佈的主要變動：

• expanding the geographic boundaries of the following participating communities, so more employers are able to participate: North Bay (Ont.), Sudbury (Ont.), Timmins (Ont.), Thunder Bay (Ont.), Moose Jaw (Sask.), West Kootenay (BC) and Vernon (BC) 擴大參與社區的地理範圍，以便更多的僱主能夠參加計劃：北灣（安大略省）、薩德伯里（安大略省）、蒂明斯（安大略省）、桑德貝（安大略省）、麥斯焦（薩斯喀徹溫省）、西庫特尼（卑詩省）和弗農（卑詩省）

• Sudbury, Ontario 薩德伯里（安大略省）

截至 2022年6月30日，RNIP 社區已經歡迎了 1,130 名新移民，他們有助於解決醫療保健、酒店餐飲、零售、製造和運輸等重要行業的勞動力短缺問題。

每個參與社區預計每年可以歡迎約 125 名新移民和他們的家庭。然而，RNIP計劃每年只能處理最多 2,750 名主申請人及其家庭成員的申請。
